An original Meiji-period ukiyo-e woodblock print by Inoue Yasuji (Yasuji Tankei), titled "Tokyo Shinga Meisho Zukai: Asakusa Higashi-Monzeki." The composition depicts a silver world blanketed in snow, with the tracks of a rickshaw and passersby creating an evocative winter scene characteristic of Yasuji's atmospheric style. The kosen-ga (ray-light) technique, inherited from his master Kobayashi Kiyochika, beautifully conveys the still, quiet air of a winter day.
The signature "Yasuji" appears at the lower right, indicating an original period print. Inoue Yasuji was a Meiji-era ukiyo-e artist and a pupil of Kobayashi Kiyochika, known for his townscapes of Tokyo.
Dimensions: Small size, approx. 16 cm x 10 cm
Condition: Toning, creases, and slight chipping at the paper edges from age, as is typical of old paper works. Offered as an antique that conveys the spirit of the Meiji period.
