Returns & Refunds

Almost everything here is old, and most of it is one of a kind. We describe each piece as clearly and honestly as we can, and we treat age, patina and gentle use as part of what these objects are — the marks of a real life in Japan, not defects.

Returns

• If a piece is materially different from its description — a genuine error on our part, not a matter of taste — contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will make it right, with a refund or a fair resolution.
• Because these are one-of-a-kind vintage and antique objects, we ask that returns be agreed with us first rather than sent back unannounced.

Damage or loss in transit

Every parcel is tracked and packed with care. If something arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, contact us within 48 hours of delivery (or of the expected date) with photos of the item and packaging, and we will handle it — repair, refund, or replacement where possible.
