A large-format woodblock print album titled Ukiyo-e Gashu, edited by Tanaka Masuzo and published by Shuseido in Meiji 44 (1911). This first-edition Japanese book contains numerous woodblock plates and comes housed in a chitsu (folding book case). A copy of this ukiyo-e reference is also held by the National Diet Library.
Dimensions: Approx. 30.7 x 23 x 2.5 cm
Condition: With chitsu case. Age-related toning, foxing, and rubbing throughout. The chitsu shows rubbing, fraying, and wear. Wear to the cover and corners. An ownership seal is present on the endpaper. Some wear to the spine. The book has not been read through and detailed checks for missing pages have not been made. Offered as an antiquarian book in as-is condition.
