Condition: Old piece; fine scratch and rust pit marks remain on the cutting bevel and back after mirror polishing; engraved mark has become faint. Please refer to the photos for the item's current appearance and condition.
At a full shaku in length, this takohiki has an impressive and dignified presence, well suited to professional and home users alike. It is an old piece with considerable rust and scratches that required extensive work to restore, and because of the scratch removal on the flat the engraved mark has become faint. It has been finished on a Kitayama 8000 grit, a Shapton 12000 grit, and a natural whetstone, and cuts very well, ready for immediate use.
