This is a fukuro obi crafted by Juraku, a distinguished house of dyeing and weaving in Nishijin, Kyoto. It features a Shokko lattice pattern with floral motifs in the Teiou-murasaki (imperial purple) palette of Juraku, worked with gold thread and foil on a gray ground, arranged in the otaiko (drum) pattern. The obi bears a signature (rakkan). It is suitable for formal occasions such as celebratory settings, and pairs with tomesode, furisode, and homongi, among other formal kimono.
