A woven bamboo flower basket (hanakago) by Soho, crafted with traditional bamboo work technique. The three-dimensional woven mesh is built up with volume, giving the piece a striking presence and a composed, dignified appearance. The deep color and luster of the bamboo, developed over many years, along with the gradation of its mottled pattern, offer a unique charm found only in aged pieces.
The basket is fitted with an inner cylinder, so it can be used as a practical flower vase for arranging seasonal grasses and flowers, among other displays. A rustic yet crafted piece with a rich, flavorful character.
