Iro-Uchikake, the highest formal robe worn over the kimono at weddings and ceremonies. This piece is made of pure silk (shoken) in vermilion red and black tones, decorated with a design of soaring cranes and pine, in a Junihitoe (twelve-layer court robe) style. Suitable for formal occasions such as coming-of-age ceremonies, receptions, and parties, among other uses. It can also serve as material for sakiori weaving, handcraft, and interior decoration.
