This is a beautiful iro-uchikake (bridal over-kimono) woven in the karaori technique on a vivid ground shot with gold thread. Auspicious motifs including cranes, phoenix, plum, cherry and chrysanthemum, among other seasonal flowers, are delicately rendered throughout. It is ideal as a bridal garment.
