Awase (lined) homongi formal kimono made of pure silk, dyed with Teio-murasaki (Tyrian purple), a dye extracted from a special shellfish pigment. It features fan and floral motifs rendered in embroidery and gold-leaf work (kinsai), with a single dyed family crest (hitotsu-mon). Suitable for receptions, parties, formal meetings, ceremonies and tea gatherings, with the formality adjustable by the choice of obi. Recommended wearing season October to May.
