A homongi (formal visiting) kimono by Sakai Norihito, a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association. It is made of pure silk in an awase (lined) construction, dyed in a yomogi (mugwort) green with a pine and wave motif accented with gold thread and silver leaf decoration. It bears the artist's signature seal (rakkan) and a single family crest (hitotsu-mon) in embroidered style. Suitable for wear from October through May, and versatile for receptions, parties, formal ceremonies, and tea gatherings depending on the obi paired with it.
