A luxury Japanese fountain pen decorated with maki-e, the celebrated traditional lacquer craft of Japan. The design was created by Higashiyama Gafu and rendered by a maki-e artisan of Wajima. The cap depicts a full moon and the barrel shows a rabbit with pampas grass. Following ancient Japanese folklore, the rabbit is associated with the moon and regarded as a sacred creature and messenger, making this pen a fitting gift for those wishing for a new leap in life.

The pen features a 14K nib and the Slip Seal mechanism, which prevents ink from drying for up to two years even when unused, allowing confident use of pigment-based inks with high water and light resistance. It accepts both converter and cartridge filling.

  • Nib: 14K
  • Filling: Converter and cartridge dual use
  • Material: Resin body with urushi lacquer finish and maki-e
  • Design: Cap – full moon; Barrel – rabbit and pampas grass
  • Includes: Paulownia wood box, single pen pouch (gold brocade, one of two patterns), one blue-black ink cartridge, and Converter 500, among other accessories
