The Seki Magoroku Ginju Hon-Kou is a traditional Japanese deba knife forged from a carbon steel composite. The blade combines carbon steel with soft iron, hammer-forged for a strong, resilient edge that offers both sharpness and ease of resharpening. The wet flat front edge finishing uses very fine whetstones with water applied during sharpening, avoiding a drop in hardness caused by friction heat. The handle is made of natural wood that fits comfortably in the hand.
Materials: Blade body: carbon steel composite (edge: carbon steel, cladding: soft iron); bolster: nylon; handle: natural wood.

As a carbon steel knife, it is prone to rust. After use, remove any dirt and wipe off moisture thoroughly. Leaving dirt or moisture on the blade can cause rust.
