It was purchased at Shobido in Arita and comes with its original tomobako (signed wooden box) and pamphlet.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOno Jiro (1953-2010) was born in Ureshino, Saga Prefecture, the second son of Ono Hakuko, a holder of Saga Prefecture's Important Intangible Cultural Property for kinrande (gold brocade) and yurihikinsai techniques. He trained at the Arita ceramics testing center and joined the family's Kozan-gama kiln, founded by his grandfather Nobuyoshi Ono. After his mother's death he chose to inherit and continue her delicate technique himself.
