His signature technique involves hand-building porcelain mixed with fragments of glass, which partially melt during firing to create unique, unrepeatable color effects beyond what glaze alone can achieve. He has received major awards including the Grand Prize at the Paramita Ceramic Art Grand Prize Exhibition (2007) and the Kamoda Shoji Prize at the Mashiko Ceramics Exhibition (2004).
